I'm a history lover, a historian of early America, and the Digital Projects Editor for the Omohundro Institute of Early American History and Culture.
I have a strong interest in the social and cultural history of the revolutionary and early republic periods.
I hold a Ph.D. in history from the University of California, Davis, where I studied with 2-time Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Alan Taylor.
Why a Podcast?
I seek to connect people with history so they better understand who they are and how they came to be who they are.
I started Ben Franklin’s World because I want to connect you with the work of professional historians so you can better understand the people and events that have impacted and shaped our present-day world and see how the historical process works to construct our knowledge of the past.
